Connecting to the universe through the Willamette Connecting to the universe through the Willamette Valley native flower Fringecup. ✨I’m looking forward to these lovely little blooms this spring! The tiny flowers are born on long stalks and have a subtle change of color as they mature. Have you ever seen fringe cup flowers?

Dreaming of an early summer day when native wildfl Dreaming of an early summer day when native wildflowers are blooming✨This section of our native plant landscaping is where the lovely self heal plant grows. This plant has been used medicinally since medieval times and likely much longer. It grows on all continents! I like to imagine the people it connects us to through time and space, all enjoying and using this same plant. When you look into it’s tiny little cupped flowers you can feel that connection to our universe!

I created this series using vibrant acrylic paint, I created this series using vibrant acrylic paint, locally made wood panels and my interpretation of each plant’s energy. I look at the details through macro photos I’ve taken in the garden or out in the forest. I hope you find your own connection to nature and the universe through this work!

Tiny Fringe Cup flowers grow in the back of our yard. They dance above foliage in spring on stalks low to the ground. Peering deep inside one of these tiny blooms with my macro lens, I discovered another universe!

Travel through time and space and visit other real Travel through time and space and visit other realms simply by diving into the infinity found in the tiniest Pacific Northwest wildflowers. Feel time on another scale. Connect to humans, animals, birds and insects of other eras who have been coevolving alongside these same plants and using them as food, medicine and inspiration since time immemorial. We are all made of the same molecules as the earth and stars. Find a spiritual doorway through a flower. As above so below.
