“Transition” is a piece I created while at an artist residency in a vintage travel trailer on the Washington Coast. I discovered the Sea Rocket plant growing in the sand at the point where water meets the land. The tiny sea rocket seeds look like rockets! They are able to split into two: one part falls into the sand and the other is able to float in water for weeks, thus doubling its chances of reproducing. The leaves are edible too. I felt called to paint this plant, a master of transitions, in the fall–which is a big season of transition. Read more about it in this blog post.

This painting has hardware on the back, so it’s ready to hang. The sides of the 1 1/2″ deep wood panel are painted the same blue as the background. It will look great on your wall as is. It can also be framed.

This painting is on a lovely wood cradle panel that was handmade in Portland, Oregon.

For my customers in the UK & the EU, here are approximate base prices in Pounds & Euros (not including taxes).
