The Smooth Alum Root flower is tiny! When you look extremely closely it has delicate, intricate, almost otherworldly beauty. This painting features one of the flowers in all of its mysterious beauty. Smooth Alum Root is a Pacific Northwest native plant. This lovely little wildflower contains a universe when you look closely! For this painting I used macro photos I took while out in the forest to see the delicate details and the alien-like forms.
This painting has hardware on the back, so it’s ready to hang. The sides of the 1 1/2″ deep wood panel are painted the same blue as the background. It will look great on your wall as is. It can also be framed.
