“Self Healing” with earth and sky. This lovely PNW native flower is called Self Heal or Prunella vulgaris. Its delicate little flowers have a depth that holds many secrets! I started this painting while out camping in an old growth forest in Washington and finished it later in my studio with the help of macro photos that I had taken. This hardy beauty was growing in the rocks by a creek where I sat to gain its healing energy and put that on my canvas. This plant has been known to heal many ailments of various native American tribes over the centuries and is still used today. I like to think about the conduit it creates between the earth and sky. What kind of healing can it bring to you?
