Micro Bouquet, 2023

As you peer deep into a tiny flower, you can connect to the universe! We are all made of the same molecules as the earth and stars afterall. This original painting by Amy Daileda is of a close up view of 5 PNW native flowers: fringe cup, nootka rose, red flowering currant, osoberry, and candy flower. Most of these flowers are very small in real life. This is a dream miniature bouquet that would be difficult to create in real life! I used macro photos of flowers in my yard or in the forest and pieces I clipped and brought into the studio as reference for the painting. This bright and cheery painting will bring an uplifting feeling to your home as you contemplate your connection to the universe.
