I’m Amy Daileda, an artist enthralled with the details. I also love plants. By combining these passions I create vibrant acrylic paintings featuring close up views of tiny forest flowers. Macro photos I take in the garden and forest as well as research into botany, native plants and herbalism are all part of my art. My painting process is slow and meditative — building the painting with lots of layers. Studying plants up close while slowly painting them gives me a connection to them that is almost spiritual.

I was an award winning slow fashion designer with my clothing and hat lines Vivid Element and Daisy Rock for 25 years before returning to painting in 2020. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, and I’ve always been passionate about making things. My work has been shown in London and all over the PNW in galleries, art fairs and boutiques. I have also organized and curated group exhibits in Seattle and Portland. My home studio overlooks our Backyard Habitat Certified garden, which is a constant source of inspiration. I love to listen to science fiction when I paint, and you can often find me walking in our Portland, Oregon neighborhood taking macro photos. My aim is to bring more joy to the world through my art!
